First Phase Of Major Housing Development Enters Final Stage

Northumberland-based housebuilder Ascent Homes has announced that progress on its Phase 1 Willow Farm development is nearing completion, with construction on Phase 2 ready to begin.

A collection of 327 detached and semi-detached two, three and four-bedroom family houses and bungalows, Willow Farm is situated in the village of Choppington, approximately 14 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne. The first stage of the development - which consists of more than 100 homes - is nearing completion, with Ascent Homes hopeful that more owners will be able to begin moving into the new properties soon.

The houses making up stage two of the development include alternative property types to those in stage one, and are now available for buyers to reserve. To date, 75% have already been sold. Once all phases of the development are finished, Willow Farm will feature tree-lined avenues and a green corridor running throughout the site, in keeping with the areas of natural beauty that surround it.

Northumberland National Park and several beaches are situated only a short drive away, making Willow Farm ideal for fans of the great outdoors. The area also boasts exceptional transport links, with the nearby station at Morpeth sitting on the main train line to both London and Edinburgh, while the A1 and A19 enable easy access to all parts of the UK by road. An excellent public transport system makes exploring the nearby towns and villages easy and convenient too, and Newcastle International Airport is just a 20 minute drive away.

Anna Yearham and Anthony Fyfe were among the first people to move into Willow Farm.

When asked about what attracted them to an Ascent Homes development and their experience of purchasing their property, they said: "We chose Ascent Homes over other builders because we loved the finish on the show home, the price was really good and the garage is huge! The layout also flows really well and the bedrooms are a great size.

"Throughout the buying process, we were kept up to date with moving dates and someone was always available to answer our questions. We were shown around the house on the day of the move and the after service has been really good too. We would definitely recommend Ascent Homes to other potential buyers."

Work on the Willow Farm development began in 2021. It boasts three show homes of different house types.
