Christmas tree donation brings festive spirit to Ponteland

Ascent Homes is embracing the festivities and the season of giving by sponsoring a Christmas tree for the Ponteland Memorial Hall Christmas market.

Ascent Homes is currently developing a contemporary collection of 25 one- and two-bedroom apartments at Hemingway Court on Thornhill Road, Ponteland (the former library site), close to the Memorial Hall, where a few local community groups are based.

One of these, The Rotary Club, hosted a Christmas Market at the Memorial Hall and needed a Christmas tree, so Ascent Homes were delighted to donate this as part of their ongoing community engagement and corporate social responsibility strategy.

Alan Hall, committee member of the Rotary Club, thanked Ascent Homes for the kind donation: “We are very grateful to Ascent Homes for their generosity and we are thrilled that we have a Christmas tree for the Christmas Market!

“It’s great when local businesses get involved with the community and we appreciate the efforts Ascent Homes has made to engage with us and build a good relationship.”

Claire Scott, head of Ascent Homes’ marketing and sales, commented on donating the tree: “It gives us great pleasure to give back to our local community and with it being the festive season we are more than happy to donate the Christmas tree to the local Christmas market.”
